The focus of the gallery is to show the work of emerging artists from Germany, Europe and the United States.

Gallery artists have been included in many important exhibitions in the last five years, such as the Venice Biennale… Numerous publications and monographs are available on all gallery artists. The gallery participated at most of the important international art fairs (i.e. Art Cologne, Art Frankfurt, Art Chicago, Art Brussels, Art Athens…).

The gallery has been incorporated as Galerie Haus Schneider in 1994. In 1998 Heinz-Martin Weigand became a partner in the gallery and took it over in 2003. The gallery's name is Heinz-Martin Weigand Gallery now. The gallery has closed its Ettlingen permises by the end of 2011 and opened a new gallery space in Berlin in April 2012.
