How nice: Bauhaus Archive
Empty, bright and pervaded by light - the Bauhaus Archive/ Museum of Design opens up this summer: Like a museum without exhibits, the exhibition halls will be presented for the first time as they were designed originally. With regard to the conservation of the Bauhaus objects, the museum was dimmed until now. Entitled "How nice: Bauhaus Archive", new views and perspectives will debut on July 22nd to October 4th.
From the opened panorama facade to the channel and the roof lights of the Sheds, the Bauhaus Archive will represent a special object of the 90th anniversary exhibition "Bauhaus: A Conceptual Model" at Martin Gropius Bau. Artistic interventions, films, theatre, music and discussions will take place in terms of a lively discussion on Bauhaus and spotlight the last building ever designed by Walter Gropius.
