New at Art Rotterdam 2015: Intersections

Intersections, a breeding ground for future talent

As a new section of Art Rotterdam, Intersections offers a stage for non-profit spaces and artists initiatives. The theme of this first edition is the Dutch – Flemish year and focuses exclusively on Dutch and Flemish initiatives. In the 1300 square metre space of the former workshops of the Van Nelle Fabriek about 15 exciting solo or duo presentations with video, installation and performance art are on show.

With a lectures and debate programme in the citizenM Hotel Lounge, led by Carolyn H. Drake, independent curator, and Noor Mertens, a.o. curator at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, essential cross-connections in the Dutch and Flemish artistic climate will be made visible.

Intersections is curated by Samuel Saelemakers (curator at Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam) and Carolyn H. Drake (independent curator and co-initiator of A Tale of a Tub).
