Meghan Eilleen Borah
Meghan Borah's energetic, humorous, and often outrageously embellished paintings and sculptures draw from the language of pop divas, haute to drag fashion references, and pop culture. She often incorporates non-traditional materials such as fabric dyes, denim, glitter, and found garments to reference fashion, textiles, and the female figure. Borah is fascinated by fashion’s connection to identity-definition; categorization; and aspirations of popular culture and avant-garde forms alike. Borah (born 1990) lives and works in Chicago, IL, and earned her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017.
