Selected Artists To Be Included In Brooklyn Not For Profit Gala, And VIP Tour Of Art Fairs
Fountain Art Fair is excited to announce our 2nd annual competition to represent Fountain in the upcoming WagMag benefit on Tuesday May 21st! WagMag, our presenting non profit sponsor for New York 2013 at the 69th Regiment Armory, is a free monthly that promotes every gallery in the County of Kings. The benefit will be held at English Kills (114 Forrest Street Brooklyn NY 11206), and showcase over 100 artists. This exceptional annual event is attended by a contingency of curators, press and high profile collectors who support this amazing publication and the Brooklyn arts community.
This is a unique opportunity to be seen by almost every gallery, curator and critic who actively promotes the Brooklyn Art Scene. Fountain will select one artwork from 5 different artists for inclusion in this showcase. Contributing artists must be aware that the works are donated and they will not receive compensation for it other than:
- A promotional campaign from Fountain detailing their career and artwork.
- Inclusion in the WagMag benefit website
- Free admission to the exhibition
- Details on the sale of their artwork
- A Fountain T-shirt
The five selected artists will also have the opportunity to join Fountain founders David Kesting and Johnny Leo on a complimentary tour of the major shows during Frieze arts week, including PULSE, NADA and Frieze.
The submitted artwork should be valued at $250 or more, submit early and often as the competition closes Friday May 10th and winners will be announced Saturday May 11th. All selected artwork must be delivered to Front Room Gallery (147 Roebling Street Brooklyn, NY 11211) by Monday May 13 or an alternate will be chosen to take your place! Details on the show are here and the submission form is here!
