Artist Statement:

My digital works are experiments in using forms and light refraction to create environments. Influenced by the architecture and the sleek lines of modernist design, I investigate spatial arrangements using an elemental and minimalist sensibility. I especially like repeated elements and optical complexities in creating escapist environments.  Light & space movement, elements of color and stimulus of light and motion are major components in my work. That is the true essence of beauty in my mind.

I consider my works "constructions" that layer and arrange light and color thru moving forms. They are intuitively driven and seek simplicity in composition that invites the viewer to move into a place of speculation.

In my Prism series, I aim to apply the same ‘simultaneist’ rhythms of abstract colors to and diffuse light into color forms, and the effects of spatial projection. It is an equation between color, light, eye, brain, and the soul.  Originally, I created a series of filtered photographic works that quickly transformed into larger investigations, moving out of the containment of photography and into painting and installation.
