Philip Craig takes the viewer on a journey through Provence. The rich cultural history and magical light of the region have enchanted many artists through the ages, from the Post-impressionists to the masters of today. Philip found the inspiration for his most recent series of paintings in the profound simplicity of the wheat fields and olive groves that populate the countryside.
Philip Craig was born in Ottawa in 1951. After attending Sheridan College of Art and Design, he graduated in 1971. Having spent a decade in Newfoundland, he returned with his young family to Ottawa and by 1986 made the total commitment to the act of painting. He has produced exhibitions annually in Toronto since 1987 and has been sold into collections around the world.
