Semblance solo exhibition by Stephen Seguin
Developments in technology have revolutionized communication. Once forced to interact in public, we can now hide under the guise of virtual socialization. Egocentricity has grown rampant, while we become increasingly disconnected from our surroundings.
This exhibition examines multiple perspectives, both big and small, that we overlook every day. These drawings can be seen as satellite images or as microscopic diagrams. Arteries and highways can easily be mistaken for one another, while satellite imagery of human growth can be confused with spreading bacteria. With each connection, boundaries are blurred and the similarities between us and our environment become more obvious.
