L’Hirondelle is a Toronto-based artist and the recipient of the imagineNATIVE New Media Award. She will speak about the exhibition Beat Nation, which features her work.

Cheryl L'Hirondelle was the recipient of the imagineNATIVE New Media Award for her projects: treatycard.ca, 17:TELL (horizonzero.ca) and wepinasowina.net. Her interdisciplinary project nikamon ohci askiy (songs because of the land) [vancouversonglines.ca] was recognized as an Honoree in the Net.Art category of the 13th Annual Webby Awards. L’Hirondelle is based in Toronto and is an artist included in the exhibition Beat Nation.
