> DESCRIPTION

Youssef Rami

Rami's current artistic project focuses on introducing geometrical pattern into his world of abstraction, color coherence and a well
balanced 3 dimensional look. He uses acrylic on gallery style canvas, creating layers of geometrical pattern. Between each layer
he creates a thick or thin transparent layer of resin to provide an illusion of 3 dimensional space. In his preparation phase he uses
computer software to come up with the desired geometric pattern which resemble architectural renderings. Then, following exact
measurements, he translates his illustrations into an acrylic painting. The artist has a PhD in Mathematics. His studio is in Toronto
