The Trudeau years in Canada\, 1968 to 1984\, saw the coming of age of the children of the cold war television-generation and its overwh elming rejection of post war art dominated by Abstraction. A new paradigm e rupted\, where television could become art and ironic media-inspired images \, pseudo artifacts and cartoonish drawings replaced minimalist canvases on the walls of art galleries. The exhibition includes seminal work by artist s from the period: Susan Britton\, David Buchan\, Tom Dean\, General Idea\, Tanya Mars\, Sandra Meigs\, John Scott\, and Joanne Tod.
