A play on Adam and Eve, the couple sits blissfully watching the flow of the setting sun—indulging in the euphoria of serenity. They live in the moment, captured in the painting as the world spins around them, carving its way out of the picture. Daunting and tempting, the apple tree hangs over the duo, reaching into the universe, overhanging as a frenzied galaxy, while grounded on the base of the painting, leaving a single earthly apple on the ground in order to lure the couple away from their bliss. Representative of the power of love, the couple sits, unaffected and unaware of the chaos and enticements surrounding them.
