TAI Gallery Merges With Eight Modern
TAI Gallery has been the world's premier gallery for contemporary Japanese bamboo art for nearly twenty years. Since 2007, Eight Modern has represented a talented group of contemporary painters, sculptors, photographers and new media artists off of Santa Fe's fine art destination, Canyon Road. As "TAI Modern," they will continue to exhibit Eight Modern artists as well as the bamboo masterpieces of the 40+ Japanese masters cherished and promoted by TAI Gallery.
The staff remains intact. Margo Thoma and Jaquelin Loyd from Eight Modern have joined forces with the TAI team: Koichiro Okada, Steve Halvorsen, Susan Perry and Ai Krasner. TAI Modern will continue to occupy the beautiful space at 1601 Paseo de Peralta in the Railyard Arts District, Santa Fe's center for contemporary arts.
"We are all delighted with the merger and fully intend to carry on both TAI Gallery's and Eight Modern's commitments to quality exhibitions, a passion for great art, and a deep respect for the artists we represent. There is much to be accomplished. We are excited to embrace the many synergistic opportunities of our fusion, and will keep you informed as things continue to develop."
