Tom Noble's paintings recall the village life of Northern New Mexico in the first half of the 20th century, a world in which life revolved around hard work, community, and the immense natural beauty of the region. A native of Taos, Noble combines sophistication in composition, design, and use of the medium with innocence of style and subject, for an artistically rich fusion filled with color, joy, and irresistible allure. Noble's 50-year career as a consistently artist was recognized in October, 2010, with the New Mexico Governor's Award for Excellence in Art. Tom is one of only two painters to receive the honor this year. Ventana Fine Art is proud to host a one-man show for Noble on Saturday, December 11, from 1:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 400 Canyon Road.
