George Lawson Gallery: room for painting room for paper

On October 1st a new gallery opened on the 2nd floor at 49 Geary in San Francisco. As the name implies, the gallery program comprises parallel exhibition spaces, with one room dedicated solely to showing contemporary painting and another to works on paper, including drawing, photography and collage. The project is directed by San Francisco painter George Lawson, and features work by artists from California, across the country, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.
