HIGHLIGHT aims to bring new artists and works to the San Francisco public, and to a broader international audience through its participation in art fairs. The gallery opened in June of 2011 with a program of seven consecutive solo shows by Belgian artists to showcase the dynamic art scene from this country. In May of 2012 Highlight moved to a new location in downtown San Francisco and has since expanded its program to represent and exhibit emerging and mid-career artists from the U.S. and abroad.
In addition to its gallery spaces on Kearny St., HIGHLIGHT launched its first project space in 2012. Held at 3020 Laguna Street, this project included ephemeral, site-specific architectural interventions by nine San Francisco Bay Area artists in a soon-to-be demolished home.
HIGHLIGHT does not accept unsolicited artist submissions.
