Don Soker Contemporary Art began in 1971 and generally exhibits works with a minimal or reductive quality with a strong emphasis on innovative technique and concept. The gallery shows a limited number of mid-career and internationally established artists as well as a few emerging artists of exceptional ability.

About half of the gallery artists are based in northern California with most of the others from Japan or Europe. Media exhibited includes works on paper, installation, painting and dimensional work.
