DESCRIPTION

ampersand international arts is a contemporary arts space that opened in San Francisco in 1999. Its core purpose is to provide exhibiting opportunities to passionate, innovative and talented artists. ampersand is dedicated to championing, promoting, and nurturing these emerging and mid-career artists and creating a critical dialogue around their work.

ampersand maintains a constant effort to show artists in additional alternative or mainstream arts organizations, and is not involved with the exclusive commercial representation of any artist. In addition, ampersand provides consulting services to assist specific needs of contemporary art collectors.

ampersand is committed to promoting intercultural knowledge and dialogue. We aim to be a catalyst between the Bay Area art community and other arts communities around the world by facilitating collaboration between artists, curators, & arts enthusiasts, cultivating an understanding of diverse aesthetic and cultural perspectives.
