> DESCRIPTION

To mark the closing of Lending Library, currently on view at the Royal NoneSuch Gallery, Matthew Rana and collaborator Forrest Lewinger present a lost library of sorts, filled with misguided notations, harmful information, and decrepit materials. Getting Rid of the Library creates a narrative slide show of titles from books that have been de-accessioned from the San Francisco Public Library system in the last year, along with reasons for their removal.

Lending Library is a group exhibition curated by Dena  Beard, featuring tools, materials, and resources from artists Anthony Discenza, Lydia Greer, Desiree Holman, Trevor Paglen, Matthew Rana, Sunaura Taylor, and Andrew Rottner.
