Swell Gallery

In their first ever collaborative effort, Ian Coyle, Tyrone Davies, and Adam Prince will transform 
SFAI’s Swell Project Space into an elaborate assemblage of rooms, stages, dance floors, and lounges.  
Borrowing indiscriminately from club culture, popular music, film, drug culture, and pie in the sky 
techno-utopias, the artists aim to subsume the viewer in performance, music, dance, and 
whatever shenanigans unexpectedly emerge. Moreover, in the spirit of challenging our 
traditional understandings of “exhibition” and "gallery” viewers will be encouraged to interact 
with the installation, alter the course of the evening, as well as participate in ongoing performances.
