delivers layers of ‘sub-textural' narrative beyond the trick and the exquisite beauty of the paintings...should the viewer care to explore.

Mastromatteo's recent obsession exploration which has literally become the theme for his recent body of work -and his ideas and work were the catalyst for our Obsession in Art exploration (Obsession! 09 [the Group show]). The new work continues to visually tamper with, and defy one's sense of one's own reality.
