This famously fun event provides direct and critical support for Southern Exposure's Exhibition, Artists in Education and Artists Resource Programs. Please join us!

Main Event
Southern Exposure is proud to present Pop Noir, our Annual Fundraiser and Art Auction on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 7:30 - 10:30 pm at Electric Works, 130 8th Street. The night features a Live and Silent Art Auction of work from over 130 established and emerging artists, delicious food and beverages, music, and creative projects. Over 600 artists, collectors and supporters are expected to attend this spectacular evening.

Pop Noir Preview
The Pop Noir Preview event from 6:00 - 7:30 pm gives collectors and Southern Exposure supporters the opportunity to be first on the scene to place early bids, take advantage of the 'buy it now' option on silent auction items, and enjoy mingling with select artists in a fun atmosphere. There will be a variety of culinary pleasures and cocktail delights for guests courtesy of local restaurants and businesses.

Creative Projects
Be immortalized! As part of the evening's festivities, artists will create unusual and mysterious portraits of auction attendees.

Artists
The Auction will feature over 130 original works by nationally recognized and emerging artists. Please visit our website, www.soex.org, for a complete listing of artists. Artworks will be available for preview on the SoEx website starting May 29, 2009.

ABOUT SOUTHERN EXPOSURE
Southern Exposure is one of San Francisco's oldest and most innovative non-profit contemporary arts and education organizations. Since 1974 we have provided a diverse program of visual arts exhibitions, education programs, public art projects, grants to artists, publications and events, and has become a vital resource for artists to exhibit, teach and interact with the broader community and for at-risk youth to experience making and exhibiting art.
