Swell Gallery

This exhibition gathers together the work of six artists whose mode of production is defined by arduous process.  The work included in Ridiculous Meticulous emerges from indulgent studio practices driven by excessive labor. Bound together by an overt declaration of the virtues of labor over the virtuosity of materials, these six artists validate rigorous creative process through the creation of one of a kind objects. This group of work is the manifestation of a commitment to artistic production that through its consuming meticulousness often borders on ridiculous.
