This May The Queer Cultural Center (QCC) collaborates with The News to preview upcoming shows to be held at various locations as part of the 17th National Queer Arts Festival in June 2014: “The Cha Cha Files” with Maya Chinchilla, “Brouhaha: QTPOC Activist-Comics Rise Up” with Jasmine Le Blanc and Sabaa Westbrooks, “515 Clues: A Kabbalistic Collabaret” with Nomy Lamm, and “Topsy Turvy Queer Circus” with Lauretta Dolch and Toni Cannon. Kevin Seaman of QCC joins WithLove as the evening’s co-host.

For more information about these shows, visit www.queerculturalcenter.org.

The nature of The News is to give artists access to critical space for risk-taking in performance. In addition to artists selected by a guest curator, a “wild card” performer or two appears in each line-up at The News. “Wild cards” are artists who may not have been selected by the guest curators, but join in the evening to share new work.
