> DESCRIPTION

The CivicCenter Art Exhibition is the City of Berkeley's opportunity to celebrate the richness of artistic production within the community. This year, 28 Berkeley-based artists were selected through a juried process for exhibition in the Berkeley Martin Luther King Civic Center Building at 2180 Milvia Street. The work is distributed throughout publicly accessible areas on five floors and is displayed for approximately 1 year. Visitors can view the artwork during regular hours of operation. Participating artists include Nora Akino, Ned Axthelm, Jennifer Brook-Kothlow, Sydney Cohen, Marian Coleman, Alesia Connelly, Yuksel Dinccag, Nancy Fernandez, Erika Gagnon, Sonia Gill, Tricia Goldberg, Zohra Kalinkowitz, Barbara Kloeppel, Isabelle La Rocca, Gary Lapow, Nick Lawrence, Michael Layefsky, Lisa Levine, Jessica Phrogus, Mimi Plumb, Brenda Quan, Megan Reed, Camille Rogine, Antonio Rosario, Jim Rosenau, Jon Stich, Peter Tonningsen and DJ Whelan.

Please join us for the reception and meet the artists, enjoy live music, and participate in a guided tour of the artwork on view!
