Day of the Dead Living Altars Fashion Show and Window Art Installations
Encantada Gallery of Fine Arts presents Fashion /Art /Culture 2008 at Encantada Gallery of Fine Arts on Valencia Street and 20th in San Francisco’s Mission District and at Art 94124 Gallery at Javalencia at 3900 3rd Street, San Francisco, California.
Celebrate the Day of the Dead by honoring the memory of the departed with the Encantada Fashionistas showcasing creations by local artists and fashion designers inspired by the tradition of Dia de los Muertos rooted in the tradition of the Aztec civilization.
Walking “Living Altars” can be admired at the “Encantada Day of the Dead Fashion Show.”
“Mujeres Encantadoras” will lead you in a procession highlighting “Dia de los Muertos” window installations at local businesses between 20th and 21st on Valencia Street in San Francisco’s Mission District.
