Imaginary Movies is a double feature in more ways than one. Both gallery show and fully realized cinema event.

At Rock Paper Scissors Gallery (2278 Telegraph Ave.), we will be presenting an art show created by a remarkable group of artists. In their minds they’ve all come up with an imaginary movie and will create evidence of these fictitious films using any medium, any format to present their vision.  The gallery  artist roster is as follows; Teppei Ando, Mary Cook, Lenae Day, Cheyenne  Ellet, Matt Hewitt,  Erika Lipkes, Aaron Olson, Jonah Olson,  Deth P Sun, Tracy Whitford  with Cool Kid Videos and featuring Alika Cooper.

Right down the block At New Parkway Theater (474 24th st. @Telegraph Ave.), some of these ideas will actually be fully realized on Saturday October 5th from 3-5pm.

Teppei Ando (Murder Dollhouse) and Matt Hewitt (Turkey Buzzard) will both be premiering brand new films at a special screening event. Not only will their 2 films, Deadly Garden & Daddy’s Boys be shown publically and on the big screen for the first time but additional classic shorts will be included and special guests from the gallery end will be contributing bonus treasures to fully create the movie going experience. But we want to keep these gems hush-hush for now. The screening will also feature a live musical performance by Deadly Garden composer, Evan Kertman.

What we want to express for the time being is that this will be a truly inspired event, it is rare for our dreams to come to fruition but that is entirely what this project set out to do. Dreams that will not only be brought to life but welcoming the public to share in this experience. Prepare to see and feel unlike anything you’ve encountered before.
