Please join us for the first of our 2013 Fellowship Talks. Kala’s Fellowship Program includes an annual series of artists talks presented by current Fellows during their studio residencies. The talk is free of charge and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Sanaz Mazinani
Sanaz Mazinani is an artist, curator, and educator based in San Francisco. She was the 2011 Visual Arts Curator for the Iranian Canadian Centre for Art & Culture’s arts biennial, Tirgan. In 2012, she was Guest Curator at Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University where she curated Edward Weston: On Light, Line and Form. Most recently, she was shortlisted for the 2013 Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Prize, and was awarded the San Francisco Arts Commission Art on Market Street commission for 2013/2014.
Osvaldo Ramirez
Originally from El Salvador, Osvaldo Castillo Ramirez received his MFA from Concordia University and is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design. He was the recipient of the Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award for Visual Arts in Canada in 2011 and is the winner of various production grants from The Canada Council for the Arts, Les Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec, including The Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2010.  He lives and works in Montreal.
