> DESCRIPTION

Join us for a film screening of Cuba El Valor De Una Utopia (Cuba – Value of a Utopia) which documents 3 artists including Antonio Canet Hernández teaching graphic arts to at-risk youth.

This film screening is associated with our current exhibition, Cuba: Portrait of a Revolution, which features the complete set of 95 prints created by the late Cuban artist, Antonio Canet Hernández (1942 – 2008) who was considered a living treasure of Cuba. The prints tell the history of the Cuban Revolution and are called Serie Moncada: Fidel y el Moncada Vistos por Canet. This is the first time the series will be exhibited in its entirety in the U.S.

The exhibition is open from January 12 – March 8, 2013. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am – 5 pm.
