The artists in this show are inspired by the juxtaposition of the natural and industrial landscape of the Pacific Coast. We use our ceramic sculptures as a vehicles for discovery and interpretation of the multifaceted environments that surround us. We observe and filter the complexity and contradictions that living in an artificial landscape present. What many times appears to be natural is manufactured. What appears to be chaotic is ordered. The blurred edge between nature and industry, plants and architecture, man and animal, is our muse. By looking for links between these systems we uncover new ways of
seeing our landscape and how we are shaped by it.
