Mark Wolfe Contemporary Art is pleased to present Coming Up Roses, an exhibition of new works by San Francisco-based Sarah Thibault in her first solo exhibition at the Gallery.

Expanding upon her previous explorations on materialism, artifice, and the relationship between objects and power in the context of antique shop settings, Thibault’s newest body of painting and sculpture addresses the use of object adornment and lavish surroundings as a form of escapism, using rococo and psychedelic influences.

Born in 1980, Sarah Thibault is originally from Minneapolis, MN. She received her MFA from the California College of the Arts, and has exhibited with Steve Turner Contemporary, Jack Hanley Gallery, as well as exhibitions in Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Paris and San Francisco. She lives and works in San Francisco.
