A mixed media solo exhibition of Bay Area artist, Nancy Mizuno Elliott. Elliott states that “Slay the Mermaid contrasts my recent persona shift as an aging American woman to the lives and enslavement of poor women in Third World countries. I am in the ritualistic process of constructing an identity - trying to align my personal experience with outer social, political, and sexual realities.”
