The Have and Have Not Group Show
curated by Lee Ballard
APRIL 7 - APRIL 28, 2012

Artist Opening Reception: Saturday April 7, 5-8pm

Varnish Fine Art is proud to present another Lee Ballard curated group exhibit featuring the contemporary fine artwork of 18+ illustrators from the sci-fi/fantasy comics realm including Barron Storey and Rick Berry, two of the most influential American illustrators alive today.

Since it’s inception in 2003, Varnish has supported underground and alternative artists, including exhibiting the fine artworks of illustrators and those who work with “alternative press,” several of whom are contributors to this group show.  Lee Ballard, a well-known illustrator in his own right, was a participant in Varnish’s 2005’s YooHoo & Donuts group show and 2008 CROM: Group show of Alternative Press Expo (APE) Artists exhibit.

The Have and Have Not Group Show features fine artworks of various media by Jon Wayshak, Rick Berry, Robert Bowen, Kyoshi Nakazawa, Brad Isdrab, Morning Breath/Doug Cunningham, Scott Cambell, Lucien Shapiro, Barron Storey, Shelly Wan, Sam Keith, Lee Ballard, Ian Ameling, Rogelio Martinez and Eidolon Crew.
