Chandler Fine Art is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings by Linda Hope. In her recent paintings, we see spheres, balls, orbs and globes that appear to float in unknown landscapes. They are still but not anchored or tethered. The light sources are equally elusive and add to the uncertainty of the picture. They can be seen as almost "ghost-like" in a landscape that is not seemingly contemporary but could be either futuristic or ancient. Or perhaps a parallel universe?
Linda Hope has had numerous gallery exhibitions in California. Her work is part of many public and private collections including ABC/KGO Television in San Francisco, AT & T, Xerox Corporation and the United States Department of State, Washington DC.
Ms. Hope lives and works in San Francisco. She teaches at City College of San Francisco.
