"Paint, in its essence, is the subject and material of my work. My paintings are aware that they are made of paint. The paintingsare fantastic illustrations of heaps of paint and figures that are liquefied into gooey, lumpy, colorful painterly abstraction. The work is rule based and process driven. However the rules can be bent or broken as the work develops. Occupying the line between fiction and nonfiction, the work pulls from my own experience, imagination and painterly fantasies embellished to the point of non-recognition– an alternate fantastic reality."
