Simon Whetham has been capturing and composing with field recordings since taking part in a research trip to Iceland in 2005. Since then he has been gaining a steadily increasing profile: exhibiting in Iceland; recording in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil; performing at a large number of festivals and events, both nationally and internationally; having work accepted for release by labels Trente Oiseaux, 1000fussler, Mystery Sea, Entr’acte, Install, Lens and Gruenrekorder; commissioned by Creative Labs to build a surround sound installation to demonstrate their equipment and software; commissioned by painter Kathryn Thomas to compose a surround soundtrack to accompany her ‘Lightyears’ series of exhibitions; producing radio works for Resonance FM, Overlap.org and Kunst Radio Austria; and invited to participate in two residencies at the Art Container in Tallinn, Estonia, the second to compose new work, collaborate with other artists using sound and run deep listening, field recording and compostion workshops.

Describing his work through the pithy phrase, "I rust things," Jim Haynes (b. 1972) is a California based artist who has developed a vocabulary of decay that he has applied to photography, sculpture, installation, and sound. He has exhibited internationally at institutions such as The Exploratorium (San Francisco), WestSpace (Melbourne, Australia), Jack Straw Productions (Seattle), Eyedrum (Atlanta), Diapson (New York), and The Lab (San Francisco).

Haynes has published his work through the Helen Scarsdale Agency, 23five Incorporated, Intransitive, Root Strata, and Elevator Bath. He has collaborated with Loren Chasse, irr. app. (ext.), and Steven Stapleton. He is also a contributing writer for The Wire. Haynes is one of the Directors for 23five and is the lone occupant at the Helen Scarsdale Agency

[ruidobello] aka jorge bachmann is a multi-disciplinary, mixed-media and sound artist. Since the early eighties, he has been exploring the strange, unique and microcosmic sounds of everyday life, collecting field recordings. The sound atmospheres created are meant for deep listening and are composed in symbiosis with the sculptural installations. He creates equally sensual and detailed oriented photo-based work. His art explores social and sensual constructs and experiences.

Andrea Williams is an artist, composer, and educator currently based in Oakland, CA.  She enjoys using site-specific elements and perceptual cues to reveal the unseen connections between people and their environment.  Listening, memory, urban ecology, and group collaboration are recurrent themes.  Her compositions, soundwalks, installations, and videos have been exhibited and performed both solo and with various artists at galleries and alternative spaces, most recently at the Whitney Museum, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, Joyce Theater Soho, NPR, Fountain Miami Art Fair, and the Mamori sound artist residency in the Amazon rainforest.  Andrea is the Director of Education for the media arts non-profit, 23five, is a founding member of the New York Society for Acoustic Ecology, and has an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College.
