Maggie & Jerry
Exhibition: September 8 – December 10, 2011

For our fall exhibition, Modernbook Gallery is excited to showcase new work by legendary artists Maggie Taylor and Jerry Uelsmann. Both artists are in the history books for their contributions to photography.

Maggie Taylor is at the forefront in digital arts by using her scanner as a primary way for image capture and Photoshop as her main tool for orchestrating her images. Jerry Uelsmann has been working as a film photographer since the 1950’s and known for his masterful way of juggling multiple enlargers while printing on one sheet of photopaper in the darkroom. The end product by Maggie and Jerry is feast for the imagination.

Modernbook Gallery has had the pleasure to publish monographs for Maggie Taylor and Jerry Uelsmann: Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland illustrations by Maggie Taylor and The Mind’s Eye: Fifty Years of Photography by Jerry Uelsmann.
