Drawing from Peter d’Agostino's extensive body of work
over the past four decades, this exhibition bridges his early photo, text, and video works with recent new media projects, including the
World-Wide-Walks. Initiated in 1973, as video documentation / performances, The Walk Series evolved into interactive installations combining elements of natural, cultural, & virtual identities: mixed realities of walking through physical environments and of virtually surfing the web. Other selections in this exhibit explore a range of d’Agostino’s photographic and sculptural models.
D’Agostino’s work has been shown at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Biennial exhibitions of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Gwangju, Korea, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
