5 Year Anniversary Show opens at Varnish

The 5 Year Anniversary Show celebrates 5 years of contemporary fine art at Varnish Fine Art with new works by over 40 returning artists.

From artist debuts to a literary hoax enacted and revealed and from half-ton bronze sculpture to miniature
scenes, Varnish Fine Art has enjoyed the whirlwind of San Francisco art, community and politics for the past 5 years. The artists whom owners/directors Kerri Stephens and Jennifer Rogers have had the pleasure to show, continue to impress while newer blood reveals itself. The 5 Year Anniversary Show is a group exhibit of new work by over 40 selected artists who have shown at Varnish since the Grand Opening Group Show April 19, 2003, including bronze sculpture, mixed media sculpture, paintings in oil, and photographic works.

Among the over 40 participating artists in the 5 Year Anniversary Show, Varnish is proud to present recent works by photographic artist Chris Anthony, painters Ron English, Chris Mars, Skot Olsen, Kevin Peterson and Isabel Samaras, and sculptors Albert Dicruttalo, Ron Garrigues, Nemo Gould, Archie Held, Wayne Shaffer and Thomas Wargin.
