TITLE: ODYSSEY OF TRANSFORMATION - a quest for the genuine
ARTISTS: Claudia Marseille, Jenn Shifflet and Ellen Vogel
Odyssey is a show of work by three alumni of the Arts & Consciousness program at JFK University in Berkeley, CA. With wax, pigment, tissue paper and oil paint, the artists explore the spaciousness and sensuality of their materials, discovering multiple constellations of self and other, human and nature.
The Arts & Consciousness program recognizes the power of art making to transform, shape and heal both the individual and community. Graduates of the program are actively engaged locally and internationally as studio artists, educators, art activists, transformative artists and entrepreneurs. The exhibition and associated events are free and open to the public.
EXHIBITION DATES: April 22 – May 21, 2011
EXHIBITION HOURS: Monday - Saturday, noon – 5 pm
FREE COMMUNITY LECTURE: April 30, 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the gallery
