New work celebrating the Mexican Revolution and a selection of acrylic paintings and handcrafted wood mirrors will be shown.  The painting style of Pérez-Meillón reinterprets the ancient Casas Grandes and contemporary Mata Ortîz pottery designs.  His knowledge comes from study and his participation in the community of Mata Ortíz for the past 23 years.

Adalberto Pérez-Meillón has owned and operated Galería Pérez-Meillón in Ensenada, Baja California, México, since 1988 and features the ceramics of Mata Ortíz, Chihuahua.

Mata Ortíz Pottery / Mata Ortíz, Chihuahua, México

Contemporary Mata Ortíz pottery has gained worldwide recognition for its unique revival of the ancient Casas Grandes pottery techniques evident in the Sonoran Desert of México and the United States.  The work of leading Mata Ortíz artists will be exhibited and available for sale.
