Mercury 20 artists take the temperature of the times in their summer group show, Mercury Rising. The artist-run gallery has recently moved to a bigger space in the heart of the Oakland arts district and is presenting a survey of the work of gallery artists during the month of July. Summer is here and its time to take a look at the rise of smoking hot art in the East Bay.
Founded in 2006, Mercury 20 is a contemporary art gallery established, supported and operated by East Bay artists. Mercury 20 maintains a venue for its member artists to exhibit, develop, and advance their work and is committed to exhibiting art of diverse media and content.
