L@TE: Friday Nights @ BAM/PFA
Gamelan Sekar Jaya
July 30, 7:30 p.m.

Programmed by David Wilson
L@TE: Friday Nights @ BAM/PFA with David Wilson
Friday-night programming continues this summer. Follow artist David Wilson’s progress on site-specific installations in Gallery B while becoming immersed in a series of four evenings programmed in conjunction with his work. Ambient performances open each night at 6 p.m.; main performances begin at 7:30 p.m.;  galleries will remain open until 9 p.m.

Led by a master artist from Bali, I Dewa Putu Berata, Gamelan Sekar Jaya’s two percussion ensembles will perform in traditional Balinese formation, surrounding their dancers and encouraging an intimate circulation among the audience. The evening will open with a rare listening experience of a reel-to-reel recording of an a cappella mix of the Beach Boys seminal album Pet Sounds.

Doors 6:00 p.m. with cash bar and ambient sounds
Galleries remain open throughout the program
