Please join us this Thursday night from 5-10 pm at 39 Isis street for a closing reception for our Lost And Found Show.
In celebration of Mother Earth, and Earth Day, we would like to promote
the art of reusing and recycling, as well as the art of living a sustainable life.
For this show, we asked all our artists for works made from lost, discarded, or recycled items, that they’ve managed to masterfully transform into objets d’art.
As creators, we all possess this ability. It pleases me immensely to see these Artists create something precious from what was previously perceived as “trash”.
Driftwood Salon is proud to say that to make our gallery possible, we relied heavily on reusing and recycling. Thank goodness for organizations like Builder’s Resources and Craigslist.
We also hope to communicate with our audience that just because something isn’t brand new, it can still be perfect, and useful and beautiful.
This is our effort to raise awareness to our rapidly deteriorating environment, and to try and shed some light on the valuable resources being ignored and tossed aside on a daily basis.
“Lost And Found” aims to remind the viewer that any and every thing can be born again.
