L@TE: Friday Nights @ BAM/PFA
Art Rocks, Featuring Lucky Dragons and Eats Tapes
Gallery B; All other galleries open until 9 PM
Programmed by Franklin Melendez
This program explores the intersection of art and music with a special performance by the experimental music duo Lucky Dragons, who were featured in the 2008 Whitney Biennial. Straddling the divide between visual and aural, the L.A.-based duo will transform Gallery B into a total acoustic environment as various electronic interventions play off the architecture of the space. The lineup will also include site-specific collaborations by Bay Area–based Eats Tapes, who expand their practices through altered frequencies. We invite you to tune in.
Preceded at 6 p.m. by one of our favorite DJs spinning in the lobby, where wine and beer will be available for purchase.
L@TE is made possible in part by Bank of America, the Tin Man Fund, and the continued support of the BAM/PFA Trustees. Special thanks to our media sponsors, East Bay Express and San Francisco Bay Guardian.
General admission to the BAM galleries is just $5 after 5 p.m. Show your ticket for a same-day PFA screening or gallery visit and get in free. Admission is always free for BAM/PFA members and UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff.
