This event marks Southern Exposure&rsquo\;s first 39 years of unwavering commitment to visual artists with a party on Alabama and 20th Streets. The afternoon and evening activities feature live performances by Cliff Hengst \, Pawel Kruk\, Lucas Murgida\, Peter Simensky and Michael Zheng in conjunc tion with The Long Conversation\, a project by Artists in Educatio n students and nearly half a dozen presentations by past Alternative Exposu re grantees. Food trucks will be on site\, drinks will be available. The ev ent is free and open to the public\, with extra special surprises for South ern Exposure members.

ARTISTS IN EDUCATION PROJECT: \;39 Scenarios< br />5:00 - 7:00 PM
O ur Youth Advisory Board artists will present a new project led by teaching artists Meredith Leich and Nina Rodriguez. Youth artists explore the inters ection between storytelling and performance art by asking the general publi c to become active participants in an original freeform story. Participants enact scenarios created by the youth artists\, to be photographed and re-f ormed into new narratives.
