On March 6 downtown galleries hosted their monthly First Thursday openings. Some of the highlights included Jordan Eagles: New Blood Paintings at Mark Wolfe Contemporary Art:

Across the street at Gallery Paule Anglim are Enrique Chagoya's paintings. Be sure to watch the video works of Hung-Chih Peng in the back room.

At Marx and Zavattero the show Bear Hunting by James Gobel features decadent felt paintings and an amusing narrative:
