Dreaming of an apartment with an outdoor terrace and expansive views of the skyline, but for some reason is it just outside of your price range? Well luckily you don't have to spend thousands of dollars on rent, just head to the Museum of Contemporary Art on Tuesday evenings when the Museum opens their back patio and sculpture garden to the public for the sights and sounds of summer (admission to the museum is free all day too).

Tuesdays on the Terrace, part of the MCA’s summer programming series, provides an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors with live jazz concerts from Chicago's best musicians. The line-up for August and September will include Maggie Brown (August 11), Jason Adasiewicz (August 18,), Mike Jeffers (August 25), Green Mill Quartet (September 1), Steve Hashimoto (September 8), Corey Wilkes (September 15) and World Music Festival (September 22). The music is hosted by Al Carter Bey of WHPK 88.5FM and personalities from 90.9 FM WDCB Public Radio. The weather, music and atmosphere are free of charge. MCA’s Puck’s Café offers an option to dine on a specialized, $19 pre-fixe menu of international theme and for a more casual approach, classic cook-out fare from the Museum's grill is also available. A cash bar serves up summer cocktails, wine and beer which may come in handy should you choose to explore the hands-on Creation Station.

This week, boogie down or relax to the tunes of musician/composer Mike Reed

and a menu that features delectable treats from Greece, using fresh produce from the MCA's Farmer's Market. Tuesdays on the Terrace, are open to the public every Tuesday this summer through September 22 from 5:30-8 PM. For more information, please visit the Museum’s website, http://www.mcachicago.org.
