Alluding to both Creedence Clearwater Revival's 1969 protest song and Sonic Youth's dark 1985 album, the group exhibit Bad Moon Rising continues the sentiment that something is rotten in the USA. The violent drawings of murderer George Hennard, who was responsible for the 1991 Luby's shooting massacre, jostle uneasily next to Ben Vautier's tongue-in-cheek A Fluxus Suicide Kit. Meanwhile, Rage Against the Machine's poison-pen commentary on the 2000 presidential race seems almost diminutive against the guttural wails emanating from Vanessa Albury and Marthe Fortun's video piece Primal Scream. At least it's still a democracy, where everyone — even the lawless — can have their say.   – Matt Sussman
