Alexis Courtney (lives in San Francisco, CA)
Alexis Courtney is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, video, and installation. Her work explores human relationships through the staging of playful innuendos and repetitive actions, revealing the frustrations and vulnerabilities of contemporary life. Recently, her work has been exhibited at the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley, Queens Nails Profjects in San Francisco, and United Photo Industries in Brooklyn, NY. She recently graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with a Master of Fine Art. In 2006 she received a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
